Jean Meilinger

The Reed-Turner Botanical Artists is structured with an elected board, as well as numerous committees headed by volunteer chairs. This allows members multiple opportunities to be involved in things like planning programs or exhibitions.

Maintains records of agendas, minutes and membership mailing list.

Receives and deposits dues. Distributes reimbursements to members.

Maintains accounting, including all donations, and reports to members.

Exhibition Committee

Current co-chairs:

Kumie Kim / Suzanne Wegener

Schedules and coordinates yearly exhibitions, including the RTBA Spring Exhibition and Long Grove Garden Event. Oversees opening and closing of exhibitions.

Creates relevant flyers and advertising materials.

Education Committee

Current chair:

Christina Lovering

Plans programming for monthly meetings, workshops and other educational events.

Looks for opportunities to engage with the public to spread awareness of botanical art.

Florilegium Committee

Current chair:

Lisa Kanellos

Maintains and organizes the Reed-Turner florilegium.

Plans for future uses and display of florilegium pieces.

ASBA Circle Liaison

Current chair:

Lucy Kooyenga

Communicates to ASBA the events of RTBA for support and recognition.

History Committee

Current chair:

Beverly Behrens

Compiles documents pertaining to the history of the Reed-Turner Botanical Artists.

Website Committee

Current co-chairs:

Louise Daley / Christina Lovering

Working with the board and committees to maintain the RTBA website with blogs, events, florilegium, and records.

Create and distribute the RTBA Monthly Newsletter.
